About Zappers Games

Honestly, this site exists because of one frustrating afternoon. I was trying to find something quick for my kid to play on the phone โ€” something that didn't need an account, didn't beg for a subscription after 30 seconds, and actually loaded fast on a mid-range Android. I couldn't find it. So I built it.

Zappers Games is a collection of small browser games I've been making in my spare time. Each one is hand-coded โ€” just HTML, CSS, and a canvas. No game engines, no asset packs, no pre-made templates. The goal is simple: tap the screen, something fun happens, and a kid smiles. That's it.

Who are the games for?

Mostly kids around 5โ€“10 years old, though adults end up playing them too (I'm looking at you, "just one more round of Star Catcher" at 11pm). Every game is designed to be understood immediately โ€” no tutorial screens, no text instructions. If you need to read to figure out what to do, I've failed.

Why free?

The games are free because they should be. Kids shouldn't need a credit card to play something for five minutes. To keep the site online and give me time to keep building, there are ads โ€” they're labeled clearly, and I try to keep them from being obnoxious. That's the deal.

How often do new games come out?

Irregularly, honestly. I have a day job and a kid (the same one from paragraph one). When I finish something I'm happy with, I put it up. I have a list of about 20 game ideas sitting in a notes app. Some will be great. Some will be quietly deleted.
